Frequently Asked Questions
What can I expect in my first session?
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. We’ll explore what brings you to therapy, discuss your goals, and begin building a supportive, collaborative relationship. It’s also a chance for you to ask any questions and see if the fit feels right.
How long is each session?
Individual therapy sessions are typically 50 minutes. Some sessions, such as ART or couples therapy, may be offered in longer formats depending on your needs.
How often will we meet?
Most clients attend weekly or bi-weekly sessions, especially in the beginning. We’ll decide together what frequency is most supportive for you based on your goals, availability, and budget
What is your fee and do you offer direct billing?
My fee for a 50-minute individual therapy session is $200. I provide detailed receipts that can be submitted to your insurance provider. In some cases, direct billing may be available depending on your insurer and plan.
Do I need a referral from a doctor?
No referral is needed. You’re welcome to contact me directly to book a session or consultation.
Do you offer online sessions?
Yes! I offer secure, confidential video sessions so you can access support from the comfort of your home or office.
Is therapy confidential?
Absolutely. Your privacy is taken very seriously. Everything we talk about is confidential, with a few legal exceptions (such as concerns about harm to yourself or others, or in the case of legal subpoenas). These limits will be discussed clearly in our first session.
What issues do you work with?
I work with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, relationship challenges, ADHD, and life transitions. I also offer EMDR therapy and ART (Accelerated Resolution Therapy) for trauma processing.
Do you work with children?
At this time, I do not work with young children. If you’re looking for support for a younger child, I would be happy to refer you to trusted colleagues who specialize in child therapy.
What if I’m not sure therapy is right for me?
That’s completely okay. You’re welcome to reach out and schedule a free 15-minute consultation to ask questions and see if working together feels like a good fit.
Still have questions?
Feel free to contact me – I’d be happy to to connect and help you take the next step in your journey toward healing and growth.
